Important Information about COVID19

Effective Friday March 20, we will begin operating on a “curbside basis” for all visits to Ferry Farm Animal Clinic. This decision was made to take another step in the battle against the Covid-19 virus to protect our clients, our staff, and the Fredericksburg community as a whole. Please call ahead for an appointment, or for medication/diet refills. We will ask you to call from the parking lot when you arrive, and one of our staff will escort your pet into the building for the examination. All pets will need to be on a secure leash or confined to a carrier. Our doctors will consult with you by phone, and the billing will also be addressed over the telephone. More details will be shared when you call. Hopefully this change will be very short term, and we can return to our normal “in-person” operation very soon. Our plan is to maintain normal hours of operation. We look forward to continuing to provide the care your pet needs during these challenging days and appreciate your patience and support as we make these necessary changes. If additional changes become necessary as we work through this changing situation, we will make those announcements on the clinic Facebook page. Please follow our Facebook page for the most up to date information about our clinic operations.

Thank you and Best Wishes to Dr. Witter!

witterAfter 47 years of practice, Dr Witter will regrettably be retiring as of March 1. It is a sad day for us at Ferry Farm Animal Clinic. We wish Dr Witter and his family all the joy that retirement can bring and a big thank you for all his years of service to the people and pets in the Fredericksburg area. And we look forward to continuing the legacy of care that Dr Witter established at Ferry Farm Animal Clinic.
